이 컴퓨터는 낡아서 / 수리해 봐야 / 오래 쓰기 어렵다. Because this computer is old / although I fix it / it is difficult to use it (keep using it) for a long time.

-아/어 봐야 is used when the action is pointless even if one does so.

1. 수리해 보니까 As I fixed it / As a result of fixing it : It does make sense with the given sentence but it doesn’t mean the same as underlined part. 수리해 보니까 indicates that I already tried to fix it, while 수리해 봐야 means I already know that it is pointless, even before trying to fix it.

2. 수리하는 대로 As soon as I fix it : doesn’t match with the main clause ‘오래 쓰기 어렵다’.

c.f. 수리하는 대로 사용할 수 있다. I can use it as soon as I fix it.

수리하는 대로 저에게 주세요. Give it to me as soon as you fix it.

3.수리하는 바람에 Because I fixed it: -는 바람에 indicates the cause of the following phrase. However, fixing the computer is not the reason why I can’t use it anymore.

4. 수리한다고 해서 Even though I fix it : ‘-다고 해서’ (same as -다고 해도) means ‘even though I do so’, and can be used interchangeably with “-아/어 봐야’
